It may be early in the semester, but Commencement will be here before we know it. Many High Point University seniors are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2016:
Name: Ryan Fuller
Hometown: Mansfield, Massachusetts
Major: Fuller will graduate with a B.S.B.A. in Business Administration, with minors in Sales and Economics, on May 7.
Post-graduation plans: Fuller accepted a position as an SMB Account Executive at Gartner in Fort Myers, Florida. In his position, Fuller will advise small and midsize companies on how they can better utilize technology to build their business.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU has helped by providing me with hands on, real-world experience that provided me with the skills that allowed me to excel in my two internships, as well as through interviews that, in the end, helped me land the job that I have now.“
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Both Professor Randy Moser and Professor Larry Quinn have both gone above and beyond to help me develop my skills and put me in contact with many high level companies.“
Most impactful moment at HPU: “Joining the sales club and participating in the sales competitions in Kennesaw, Georgia and Orlando, Florida.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Stay ahead of the game. Start looking for internships as soon as possible, whether as a freshman or a sophomore. The sooner you start getting real-world job experience, the easier it will be to land an even better internship later down the road, then eventually a really high quality job.”
