Class of 2016 Outcomes: Maggie Seward Secures Accounting Job at PwC

With another successful commencement behind us, recent High Point University graduates are preparing to commence prestigious career paths around the world at Fortune 500 companies, international service programs, public school systems, top-tier law, medical and graduate school programs, and many other esteemed organizations thanks to their journey at HPU. Here’s a glimpse of one extraordinary senior from the Class of 2016:

Name: Maggie Seward

Hometown: Newbury, Massachusetts

Major: Seward graduated with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting on May 7.

Post-graduation plans: Seward accepted a position as a Tax Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Boston.

How HPU helped you get there: “HPU opened many doors for me as a student. Originally a Business Administration major, I realized my Sophomore year that I wanted to focus my skill set. Through the sincere guidance of my Advisor and faculty members my passion for Accounting grew. I am so thankful for all of those who pushed me toward success and helped me to believe in myself. I used Career and Professional Development to guide me while writing my cover letter and resume.

Most impactful mentor at HPU: “My most impactful mentors here at HPU were Professor Premalata Sundaram and Professor George Noxon. They believed in me and helped me to believe in myself.”

Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment was when I received the news that PwC wanted to fly me to Boston for the final round of the interviewing process. I could not believe I had the chance at the job I had dreamed of since officially beginning my accounting major.”

Advice for underclassmen: “Sincerely believe that anything is possible when the effort and passion is there.
