HPU Nationally Recognized Again by The Princeton Review’s ‘Best Colleges’

HPU received more honors than ever this year, including Best Career Services and Best Run Colleges.

HIGH POINT, N.C., Aug. 18, 2022 – High Point University is once again recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the best colleges in America.

HPU is featured in “The Best 388 Colleges: 2023 Edition” with more honors than ever before. This is the sixth consecutive year HPU has been named in The Princeton Review rankings, which are based on positive feedback from students, parents and higher education leaders across the country.

The university is recognized in “Best Southeastern Colleges,” Great Schools for Business/Finance Majors, Great Schools for Communications Majors and in numerous Top 20 categories, putting HPU in the top 1-5% nationally for:

• Best College Dorms: #4 and Top 1% in the Nation
• Most Active Student Government: #10 and Top 3% in the Nation
• Best-Run Colleges: #16 and Top 4% in the Nation
• Best Campus Food: #17 and Top 4% in the Nation
• Most Beautiful Campus: #19 and Top 5% in the Nation
• Best Career Services: #20 and Top 5% in the Nation

The university also ranked in the Top 50 in the nation in the following distinctions:

• Top 50 Undergraduate Schools for Game Design
• Best Student Support and Counseling Services

Only about 14% of America’s 2,700 four-year colleges are included in the 2023 edition. The Princeton Review selects colleges based on data it annually collects from administrators, as well as surveys from students at those colleges.

HPU’s national recognition is also evident in the success of graduates by preparing them for the world as it is going to be. Data collected by HPU in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) standards shows 98% of the Class of 2021 were employed or furthering their education within 180 days of graduating, 16 points higher than the national average.

Since HPU’s transformation in 2005, the university has been honored with countless recognitions. HPU has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the No. 1 Regional College in the South for a decade, No. 1 Most Innovative for seven consecutive years, National Top 30 Best First-Year Experiences, Best Undergraduate Teaching in the Regional Colleges South and the Best Value Schools in the Regional Colleges South.
