How HPU helped you get there:
“HPU provided me with a well-rounded education beyond academics. I was a student-athlete, networked with companies as early as my sophomore year, collaborated with in-residence faculty like Steve Wozniak and Marc Randolph, worked at the High Point Furniture Market for four consecutive years and so much more. The opportunities HPU gave me helped me grow personally and professionally. I began visiting the Office of Career and Professional Development during my sophomore year. Kerrie-Anne Sparks, career advisor, was a tremendous resource for me at HPU.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU:
“My most impactful mentor at HPU was Thomas James, professor of the practice of finance. Not only was he my advisor, but I also took five classes with him and learned more than just finance material. He taught me to be confident and determined, especially in a challenging and male-dominated field. He always supported me and encouraged me to reach my future goals.”
