How HPU helped you get there:
“HPU shaped me into an entrepreneur. HPU taught me valuable life skills and how to present myself professionally in the business world. I learned how to create a business, speak with investors and execute my vision. HPU’s fine-dining learning labs helped me feel confident when I had dinners with business professionals.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU:
“Kathryn Elliott, professor of the practice of entrepreneurship and director of the entrepreneurship program, was the most impactful mentor I met at HPU. She guided me in the right direction and was there for me when I needed help. JiNan Glasgow George, HPU’s Intellectual Property Expert in Residence and a member of HPU’s Access to Innovators Program, was a huge influence on my life. I am forever thankful for the industry professionals she introduced me to.”
Most impactful moment at HPU:
“My most impactful moment at HPU was participating in the Business Plan Competition. Every year, these competitions allowed me to practice my business pitch to real-world professionals and have the chance to win cash prizes for all of the hard work I put into starting my company as a student.”
How has HPU’s inspiring environment contributed to your success?
“HPU’s campus is so inspiring. When you are surrounded by people who want you to succeed, you will achieve great things. I enjoyed going to the Entrepreneurship Center and brainstorming ideas with the other entrepreneurship majors. We would spend hours focusing on how to grow and achieve our visions.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation?
“HPU helped me realize how important God, family and country are in my everyday life. I learned life skills like how to dress professionally and the importance of being on time. Other schools skip over teaching students practical skills. These skills make a big difference.”
