How HPU helped you get there:

“HPU prepared me for my future by providing me with opportunities that no other school offers, such as etiquette experience in fine-dining learning labs, access to supporting and nurturing faculty members and the ability to meet and work with global leaders through the Access to Innovators Program. HPU’s Office of Career and Professional Development guided, supported and encouraged me throughout my graduate school application process. The staff reviewed my resume and cover letters and provided information on graduate school integration. Through these experiences, HPU helped me grow professionally and prepared me for my future.”

Most impactful mentor at HPU:

“My most impactful mentor at HPU was Dr. Bobby Little, chair and professor of criminal justice. As my advisor and professor, he helped me progress in my criminal justice career. He encouraged me to start HPU’s Criminal Justice Club and nominated me for the Elizabeth Miller Strickland Trailblazer Award. He saw potential in me and supported me so much during my time at HPU.”

Most impactful moment at HPU:

“My most impactful moment at HPU was starting the Criminal Justice Club on campus during my freshman year. While I was taking my first criminal justice course, I struggled to find related clubs and organizations to participate in. With the encouragement of my professor, I teamed up with another student to start the club. The president of the club was a fantastic role model and introduced me to the Student Justice Program. By the end of my freshman year, I became president of the Criminal Justice Club and was sworn in as a Student Justice.”
