“HPU strengthened my interview and public speaking skills, which increased my confidence in job interviews and presentations. I utilized the Office of Career and Professional Development during every step of my application process to ensure success. They helped me find the right internship, craft my application and practice for my interview. Because of HPU’s fine-dining learning labs, I was prepared and confident in formal dining settings. I was equipped with the skills needed to succeed in a professional environment.”

“Dr. David Bergen, professor of management and entrepreneurship, has been my most impactful mentor at HPU. Dr. Bergen is a fantastic professor and is so uplifting and positive. He is always looking out for his students and wants to help them achieve whatever they set their mind to.”
What has your internship experience been like, and how is it preparing you for your future?:
“This internship has been remarkable. It has given me the opportunity to experience the inner workings of our federal government and network with successful senators and representatives from across the country. I have attended open hearings and lectures given by various political figures, drafted press releases and given tours of the Capitol. This internship is preparing me for my future by allowing me to gain invaluable legislative experience and learn from politicians from different backgrounds.”
