“The inspiring environment and caring people at HPU motivated me to achieve my goals. All the resources at HPU gave me the will to chase my dreams. Because of my classes and work experience, I have acquired knowledge and skills that will benefit me in my future goals within the world of business. The Office of Career and Professional Development helped me by teaching me how to gain more attention from employers. I also learned how to present myself in a unique way and stand out against other applicants.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU:
“My most impactful mentor at HPU is Allison Long, director of career advising. She has given me insight into what employers look for in candidates. She has helped me grow in all areas of my life, and she genuinely wants to see me succeed. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance.”
What has your internship experience been like, and how is it preparing you for your future?:
“Not only was this internship a very interesting way to get involved with local and federal governments, but I was able to take on a myriad of responsibilities. I learned how to navigate a new working environment. It was great practice for learning how to present myself as a versatile employee in a world that is constantly changing.”
