Here’s a quick glimpse at one of many impressive outcomes HPU graduates achieve.
Name: Andrew Rampaul-Pino, Class of 2025
Hometown: Berkeley Heights, NJ
Major: Accounting; minoring in Finance
Internship plans: Andrew is interning at KPMG this summer as their Embark Scholar Intern in New York City. He is taking on a rotational internship role, where he will be experiencing all three service lines of the accounting firm’s business, including audit, tax and advisory.
Day-To-Day Internship Schedule: “My day as an Embark Scholar Intern at KPMG usually consists of working on client engagements with team calls sprinkled in throughout the day. Since my internship is hybrid, some days I commute into the city. Those days include very early mornings and extra-long days because of the added hour-and-a-half commute each way to work. ”
How HPU helped you get there: “The accounting faculty helped me get to where I am. In particular, Dr. Sundaram has helped push me, map out a plan for a solid career path and helped guide me as I started pursuing it. In addition to that, Professor Scott Davis’s tax class has helped me learn the importance of detail and how all the little things matter as well.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Professor Scott Davis, Associate Professor of Accounting is wickedly smart and an incredible accounting professor. He prepares his students for the real world and gives great life advice. I look forward to every single time I have class with him because I learn so much every class, and he challenges us to think.”
