Post-graduation plans: Allison is heading to Durham, North Carolina, to start her career as a market analyst for Patent Forecast. She will work closely with a team to create market research and analysis reports for various industries. Responsibilities of a market analyst include applying patent data to strategic marketing strategies, predicting market activity and identifying opportunities for clients. Allison will also manage databases, prepare detailed reports and presentations, utilize data visualization tools, conduct comprehensive market research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU gave me not only the skills but the connections that allowed me to network with amazing faculty, staff and students who helped me acquire this role.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “My most impactful mentor at HPU was Melissa Marion, senior director of Employee Wellness. She has been my rock and mentor since she took a chance on me my sophomore year and gave me a job as a social media assistant for Employee Wellness. She has helped me through thick and thin, which created a bond like no other. We celebrated our accomplishments together as well as support one another through tough times. She is a real gem at HPU.”
Did you feel HPU prepared you for the dining component of your interview? “By going to 1924 Prime during my time here, I was able to learn proper etiquette and manners to remain professional during the dinner interview process.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Use college to find yourself and your people. They will truly help you become more confident, sure of yourself and help you find what you are passionate about. They will push you to become the best version of yourself, as well as be your biggest support system and loudest cheerleaders during your accomplishments.”
