Post-graduation plans: Halle will continue her education abroad at Coventry University in Coventry, England, where she will pursue a Master of Science degree in the global sport business management program.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU helped me to become a leader. Without the opportunities and involvement offered on this campus, I would’ve never come out of my shell and I would’ve stayed shy and reserved, never seeking to lead.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Without the mentorship of my professors, especially Dr. Jenny Lukow, the chair of the sport, event and hospitality management department, and Dr. Tim Koba, assistant professor and director of the Master of Arts in communication business and leadership program, I would have never felt the confidence to continue my education abroad! Dr. Koba has been my most impactful mentor at HPU as he made me realize my dreams are to work abroad in Formula One. He has even promised to serve on my Ph.D. committee when I elect to pursue it in the future.”
Most impactful moment at HPU: “Being honored as Sport Management Senior of the Year was the most impactful moment during my time at HPU.”
How you used Career & Professional Development: “I used the Office of Career and Professional Development to consult on being a student leader while working at the Master’s Tournament during HPU’s first year of the partnership.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Take advantage of any and every opportunity that comes your way even if you don’t see how directly it can benefit you. I promise it will lead you to something.”
