Post-graduation plans: Elizabeth began her career as a Leader Development Consultant at Kappa Delta National Headquarters. As a Kappa Delta Ambassador, Elizabeth travels the country to provide support and guidance to a number of collegiate chapters with their operations, recruitment, leadership and sisterhood.
How HPU helped you get there: “HPU’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) has shaped my personal and professional life throughout college. With my experiences joining Greek Life, I wanted to continue my growth through the Kappa Delta Headquarters — an organization that aligns with my values and has given me so much over the past four years. I am incredibly grateful for the mentors within my sorority and FSL that supported and guided me through the interview process, as well as the Office of Career and Professional Development for preparing my interview and application skills.”
How you used Career & Professional Development: “I used the Office of Career and Professional Development for application and interview preparation. Emily Long, assistant director of career advising, was amazing in getting me through every step of the way for my interview process.”
Most impactful mentor at HPU: “Dr. Stacy Lipowski, associate professor of psychology, has been my Honors Program and psychology mentor since freshman year. She has supported me every step of the way through my educational and professional endeavors. I am incredibly grateful for all her help!”
What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “HPU taught me how to properly communicate with others in a professional setting. Both in and out of the classroom, I had ample opportunities to practice my public speaking and conversation skills.”
