Most impactful moment at HPU: “My most impactful moment at HPU was placing 2nd in the Randy Moser Speed Selling Competition. Initially, as funny as it sounds, I entered the contest just for extra credit, but finishing second overall was a pivotal experience. It reinforced my desire for a sales-driven career and gave me the confidence to realize I was not only passionate about sales but also genuinely skilled at it. This moment affirmed that I was on the right path.”

What are the life skills HPU helped you develop that prepared you for long-term success? “HPU taught me the importance of presenting myself professionally and confidently engaging with anyone, regardless of the situation. Even when I felt uncertain or unqualified, I learned to ask thoughtful questions and initiate conversations, whether at a guest speaker event or in the classroom, helping me to build confidence and effective communication skills.”
What are the values and virtues HPU’s campus helped you develop that you’ll take with you after graduation? “The Airplane Model in Cottrell Hall is one of the most impactful values HPU offers. You never know who you might find yourself sitting next to, and this mindset taught me the importance of being ready to network with anyone, anywhere. Believing in my ability to do so has been invaluable in my post-graduation success.”
Advice for underclassmen: “Take full advantage of guest speaker events! These opportunities not only allow you to network with top professionals but also prepare you to confidently engage with people, promote yourself and pave the way for future success.
