Library Receives $10,000 Book Collection

HIGH POINT, N.C., Oct. 19, 2011 – The Smith Library at High Point University was recently selected to receive a prestigious grant from The International Society for Science and Religion. The grant will add more than 200 books to the library’s current collection, and help students with readings, projects and assignments in religion and philosophy classes.

The grant program, which began in 2002, was established to promote and support inter-disciplinary learning and research in the fields of science and religion in an international and multi-faith context.

Bryden says that HPU students and faculty members will reap the most benefits from the grant, which will provide access to superior content in their respective fields.

“The grant will supply us with some wonderful content in the areas of science and religion, and will be the catalyst for developing courses in these areas,” says Bryden.
