High Point University has Graduate Housing options available. These options will be able to cater to the needs of our graduate students and provide the opportunity to live amongst your peers. The graduate housing will be offered exclusively to any full-time graduate students. There will be two options for our students to select. Graduate students will need to pay the Housing deposit of $750 in order to be eligible for either option.
University-Owned Houses and University Village: 12-Month Housing Option
Select single rooms in University Owned Houses and select single or double rooms in University Village will be available for a 12-month housing option. Single rooms in University Owned Houses and doubles in University Village will be $18,980 (equivalent to Tier 2 prices) and singles in University Village will be $21,540 (equivalent to Tier 3 prices). This amount covers room only. All houses will be single-room occupancy ranging from 2–5-bedroom units. Leases will be from June to May on a yearly basis. Units will be offered as a single-gender option, there will not be co-ed options. Students will submit applications on our Housing Portal and placements and availability are subject to our discretion. If you are a CBL student a meal plan will be automatically added. If you are not a CBL student and wanting a meal plan, you would need to contact Student Accounts.
Traditional Housing: Academic Year Option
HPU is offering 3 locations for traditional housing for graduates. University Village, University Owned Houses, and a portion of the Panther Commons. All units will be single rooms (either suites or studios), or double rooms are also available in University Village. This option provides graduate students with the ability to be in close proximity to campus facilities, libraries, and classrooms. All units will be open during our traditional academic schedule, from mid-August through the first of May. Students will submit applications on our Housing Portal and placements and availability are subject to our discretion. Pricing for these units will be Tier 2 (University Village & Established University Owned Houses) or Tier 6 (Panther Commons).
If you are a CBL student a meal plan will be automatically added. If you are not a CBL student and wanting a meal plan, you would need to contact Student Accounts.
Graduate students can start completing the Housing application on February 15th, highpoint.edu/myhome. Students who complete their application by April 1st will have guaranteed Graduate Housing.
For all others, housing will be first-come-first-serve. We will reserve the right to place all CBL students who want Graduate housing first, as those students have an on-campus housing requirement to receive free tuition.
All Graduate students will need to complete the Graduate Housing Application to receive housing. Graduate students will not be eligible for the returning undergraduate housing process and not be eligible to live in undergraduate locations. Homesteading will also not be available.
